Swedish - English Translation
My original love for language set root in translation work, and it is a creative form still dear to me to this day. Over the years, I have helped nonfiction and fiction authors, filmmakers, and other creatives bring their work to a larger, global audience, not to mention the countless businesses whose websites I have helped make internationally viable.
Fully native in both Swedish and English, I translate copy in both directions.
"Working with Cajsa felt safe, professional, and inspiring! The end result would never have been as good as it was if she hadn't contributed with all her spontaneous input."

Manual Translation
- because your reader knows the difference
All of my translation work is completely manual. AI translation takes over more and more of our web content, leaving the language poorer and the reader uneasy. Using manual, localized translation instead gives you the edge against automated competitors.
As a writer, I understand that your work is your treasure, and that translating it is a careful process of maintaining your voice, language, and cultural connection in a new dress. In my process of translating, I like to dig into understanding your work, your motivations, your tone, and like a detective figure out how best to convey that to your new audience. If you’re Swedish, you know how hard it is to explain lagom to someone outside your borders. Let me help you!
The beauty of translation work is that even though subject matter can be particular, language is universal. I delve into your topics, gain an understanding of the world in which your manuscript lives, and immerse myself in all of it before beginning any translation project. In short: I take on projects of all kinds of subjects.
