About Cajsa

Born in Sweden and raised in both Sweden and the United States, I have long considered both countries, and both languages, home.

 

I first began translating documentary film scripts for Swedish Television almost two decades ago, and remained in the realm of writing for film and creative content, expanding my portfolio to writing character development, series outlines, and pitch materials for animated series and later documentary films. This is where my love for using language not just for my own creative writing but to help others tell their stories and enable their words to connect with more people really began. From there, I expanded to other forms of marketing and brand storytelling, and on to web copy and articles.

For me, the beauty of this line of work is the opportunity for me to help my clients better say what it is they are trying to say. I hear your idea and learn your vision, and that is the story I tell, whether it is to sell a film or put content on your website. Having one foot in each country, and having spent a lifetime traveling to and living in various countries, also enables me to translate with cultural sensitivity, localizing text as needed to fit the audience it intends to reach, without losing the voice of its original writer.

Through the years, I have worked with an award-winning animation studio in content creation and development, (including the world’s first animated vlogger, the Goob), translated full-length technical non-fiction about environmentally conscious electronics/IT, Green IT, translated a number of natural history documentary narration scripts for an award-winning production company whose films have shown on National Geographic and Discovery Channel, and translated and edited personal editorials and essays.

 

I have also helped numerous clients in various fields create and refine their website texts and blog content, to help them say what they truly want to share with their readers and potential clients - with dozens of pages now on Google's first page and top spot. I write SEO-friendly blogs, thoroughly researched articles, and help clients who want to be thought leaders in their field.
